20 Minute Workout with Dumbbells

So you just got a promotion at work. You’re expecting a new child. A long lost friend is visiting you for the week….something just “Came Up.”

Or maybe you just live a really busy lifestyle that prevent you from training 5, 4, or even 3 days per week. Well…I have a solution. What about a workout that took just 20 minutes, and you needed to do it only 2 times per week?

Craig Ballantyne created his TT Depletion program for just those individuals who were unable to train 3 days per week. The program was extremely popular. However, there were two main issues with the original version:

  • It required additional equipment besides dumbbells
  • You were unable to do the workouts back to back since the two circuits were full body.

This new version, known as TT Dumbbell Depletion, requires just a pair of dumbbells and a bench. That’s all you need! It features two, full body circuits, PLUS, option upper body and lower body circuits.

This way, if you’re planning on working only on the weekends, you can simply do the upper body workout on Saturday, then tackle your lower body on Sunday. You’re done! Use the the other 5 days to recover and get ready for your workouts the following week!

You want a sample workout? Well, I can share the original version with you, but I can not share this new version with you. It should be enough to help you get an idea of what this fast, intense program is all about!

6 rounds of:

  • Kettlebell Swings, one hand each side, 30 seconds each side
  • Pushups, any variation for 30 seconds
  • Bodyweight Squats, 30 seconds
  • Mountain Climbers, 30 seconds
  • Kettlebell Front Loaded Lunges, 30 seconds, or Bodyweight Lunge Jumps

So the actual workout lasts about 18 minutes!
