Why Should you Train Like a Fighter?

Why? Well watch this video and you’ll find out:

As you can see, Houston Alexander looks really good. I’ve always believed that you should train like an athlete in order to look like an athlete. What makes MMA training such a great option for average joes is that…

  1. MMA requires training a variety of aspects of fitness. Most sports such as football and baseball only require you to be good at one or two things – get stronger, get faster, hit farther – etc. In MMA, you need to be strong, mentally tough, flexible, and explosive all at once.
  2. MMA training is fun. Throwing around a tire. Hitting a tire with a sledghammer. And doing hundreds of burpees is a lot more fun than curling a barbell at the gym.
  3. MMA training makes you look good. Fighters like George St. Pierre and Matt Hughes only start dieting when they’re close to a fight. And yet, they stay in good shape year-round. Why? Because they’re level of intense training keeps their metabolism on super drive.

The best MMA program out there is Eric Wong’s Ultimate Strength and Conditioning. Click here for more information
